Girls Dreams

Prince Rogers Nelson may be gone, but his legacy will never be forgotten – especially as now there's the possibility that new, unheard music from the legend will soon become available.

Universal Music Group, in a partnership with Prince's estate, have been chosen to have controlling access over all of Prince's previously released albums, as well as his vault of unreleased music (which I imagine and hope is a literal vault buried somewhere inside Paisley Park, metallic purple and encrusted with diamonds).

In a statement, UMG's chairman Sir Lucian Grange said: "Prince was one of the greatest musical talents of all time – an incomparable genius as a performer, recording artist and songwriter. It's an absolute honour to once again be selected by Prince's estate to be the home for publishing, merchandise and now for so much of his incredible body of recordings."

This announcement follows whispers that Prince's entire catalogue will be available to the public on streaming services Apple Music and Spotify as soon as this Sunday (February 12), so while the Purple One is no longer with us, his music and the myth and legend of the man who created it look to continue on long into the future.
