Girls Dreams

A number of your music industry faves spoke out over the weekend against Donald Trump's racist ban on refugees and immigrants from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Syria. Many of them urged their social media followers to donate to civil rights organisations, led by Canadian artist/producer Grimes and Australian singer-songwriter Sia, who began matching donations to CAIR (the Council on American-Islamic Relations) and the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) respectively on Saturday (January 28).

Grimes tweeted "hey, i'll match all donations to CAIR up to $10,000. tweet a screencap of your receipt to me <3 anything helps <3", as Sia told fans to "help our queer and immigrant friends" by donating. Both asked followers to send screenshots of their proof of donation so that their amounts could be matched.

Though Sia has not yet confirmed whether she has reached her amount, Grimes has now matched $10,000 in donations to CAIR.
