Girls Dreams

And now for something completely heartwarming, because frankly, the world needs it. Jack Antonoff is the most connected man in indie pop (he's a member of fun., releases solo music under the moniker Bleachers, and has written with popstars from Grimes to Taylor Swift), and on Monday night he used his influence for good, gathering together some of his closest personal friends at New York's Webster Hall, to give a benefit concert for The Ally Coalition, the LGBTQ charity he launched with his sister Rachel.

Charli XCX, Lauren Mayberry of CHVRCHES, Carly Rae Jepsen and the rarely-spotted Lorde all came out to support the initiative, a fundraiser for homeless LGBTQ youth, performing both original tracks and covers. Lorde's piano-only version of Robyn's "Hang With Me" is especially lovely and – just a heads up from me to you – may require you to take yourself off to the loos for a minute to sort yourself out.

At the end of the show, everyone came together to perform a rendition of Fleetwood Mac's "Go Your Own Way" which was objectively weird, but also very sweet in a school talent show 'look at us all having a lovely time for a lovely cause' kind of way. Watch some of the performances below, and click here to donate money to The Ally Coalition.
