London's Bullion is kind of like a secret ingredient, one everyone wants to use to get their dishes to taste that little bit nicer. In the past few years he's released records for big labels of note – Young Turks, R&S, Greco-Roman and Honest Jons have all dipped their toes into his peculiar electropop rhythms. He's never turned into a long-term deal, simply because there's a natural desire there to keep on moving; he masters one idea and slinks off into the next. This time around that journey has lead Bullion to DEEK Recordings, his own label, which he's putting his debut full-length album out on.
He's already released a couple tracks from that record already – the main one being the album's title track, "Loop The Loop", which features Sampha and is available for free when you purchase the record. So today we're going to give you another slice of the pie. "Palm 2" is a bubbling, almost piercing track, yet it's underpinned with a vocal that ties everything together. Not exactly pop, but not exactly electronica either, it's true to the character Bullion's always been – which is an artist who can effortlessly delve in and out of different sounds, piecing them together into his own unique landscape.
