New Zealand's Yumi Zouma have released their cover of Oasis' "She's Electric". The track is the first taste of their full album cover of the Manchester band's classic 1995 album (What's the Story) Morning Glory?
The album is available April 6 through Turntable Kitchen's SOUNDS DELICIOUS vinyl subscription series that has bands covering classic LPs including Foxygen's Jonathan Rado tackling Bruce Springsteen's Born To Run, Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard taking on Teenage Fanclub's Bandwagonesque, and Pains Of Being Pure At Heart doing Tom Petty's Full Moon Fever.
Yumi Zouma give "She's Electric" some woozy/shoegazey treatment that sounds damn nice, and it's hard to believe that when Noel and Liam wrote their classic second album that 22-years later a New Zealand band would be covering it in its entirety. Actually, on second thoughts, it's not that hard to believe.
