Girls Dreams

It's as close as opinion can get to objective fact that Aaliyah made some of the most genre-defining R&B of the 1990s before her untimely death in 2001 ("One in a Million" in and of itself is proof of this). Sadly, however, her music has never been available to buy on iTunes or via Apple's streaming service Apple Music – that is, until now.

Aaliyah's posthumous greatest hits compilation Ultimate, which features 25 of her best known tracks, including "Try Again", "Are You That Somebody" and the aforementioned masterpiece "One in a Million" has now surfaced on both services, which marks the first time that her hits have been available to buy and stream (though her debut album Age Ain't Nothin' But A Number appears on Spotify).

This, of course, is excellent news for you if you have a pair of ears and an Apple Music subscription, and I would suggest that if you do, you use both to listen to the best Aaliyah has to offer right now:
