Reddit user buildingsonfire shared this quirky photo last week of his dad’s bowling ball pyramid made from 1,785 bowling balls that he has collected over the last 15 years.
Obviously many users’ first question was, why? Quite simply, why not? He says his parents saw a picture of a bowling ball pyramid in 2001 and decided to make one for themselves.
The balls themselves are stacked (no glue or epoxy used) however his dad did build a concrete base to exact dimensions to insure a ‘snug’ fit. Most of the balls were donated, others are decommissioned balls from bowling alleys and others are surplus military bowling balls from nearby bases.
