“When I spit bars the people dem jump, I bring vibe to make you get hype, I’m a lyrical guy, shower down mic inside, might hear me inside your ride,” spits South London MC Novelist over a fire-packed beat that sounds like it’s been sliced by chainsaws and pushed through the speakers, in a good way. The track itself is “NRG”, the latest offering from UK dance duo Chase & Status.
This isn’t the first time Chase & Status have made music with the young grime king. At the end of last year, Novelist lent his lyrical talents to “Bigger Man Sounds”, the fourth in a four-part series called London Bars, which also included tracks with Frisco, Giggs and Bonkaz.
