Girls Dreams

Leeds' Eagulls caught some buzz a couple years ago with their self-titled debut record (the Noisey staff remembers seeing them like 400 times at CMJ in New York) and now they're returning with a follow-up on May 13 called Ullages. Recently, they shared the lead single "Skipping," four minutes of textured, energetic post punk. Today, they're premiering the track's video below on Noisey, which matches the song's dark, brooding sound. It's the kind of music that makes you want to just go live in a cave because life seems like it'll be better if you just live in a cave.

Of the video, vocalist George Mitchell says, "The concept evolved into the idea of working around this one central character that exists in an environment that has been fabricated solely to fulfil an almost ritualistic act, in an isolated spaced distant from everyday reality and routine. I liked the idea of the act being fetish like in its portrayal, communicating the feeling that the character was using it as a form of private escapism, a pre-meditated means of release, disconnected from any day to day role and of course monotony."

Watch the video below, and catch Eagulls on tour in North America. Pre-order Ullages on Partisan Records right here.
