Girls Dreams

Since Klaxons broke up, many of us have been wondering where their solo music would take us. Earlier this week, former keyboardist and singer of the band James Righton made his music known with his new project, Shock Machine. Much in line with other great acts that name a song after the band like Minor Threat, Talk Talk, and Belle and Sebastian, "Shock Machine" is a sort of statement of intent on what the project is all about. The track opens with a beating synthesizer, serving as the base for the rest of the track's instrumentation. From there, guitars and other noises like the sounds of a rolling wave guide the track. Visually it's equally stimulating, showing James staring deep into the ocean on top of a boat. It's an exciting and promising track that makes us excited for what's to come from the project.
