If Section Boyz gets you gassed before heading out on a Friday, then WSTRN are the ones to load up on Spotify the following morning, when you're head feels like an old car engine, the sun is peering through the curtains like the optimistic bastard it is, and it's time to soothe your hangover and coalesce your broken mind with some unabashed good vibes. The West London trio sent Shazam into overdrive with their monster hit "In2" in 2015, and now they're back with the more hypnotic disco-sampling pop inflections of "Come Down", which we're premiering below.
Band member Louis says: “Old-school disco and old school soul are my favourite genres of music, and 'Love Comes Down' by Evelyn King is also one of my favourite songs. I’ve been waiting for an excuse to do something with the original; I love the beat and the verses we wrote together one night seemed to fit perfectly with the sample, so we just ran with it and here we are.”
