Girls Dreams

If you're hungry for new James Blake tunes, keep ears on his BBC Radio 1 residency. After slipping in new track "Modern Soul" last month,  the crooner/producer dropped "RPG," a collaboration with grime MC Trim, in the middle of his set Wednesday night.

Whereas "Modern Soul" followed in the tradition of  Blake's lush solo fare, "RPG" is frenetic, pulsing and squirming around Trim's coolheaded bars. The pair first teamed up in 2012 under the monker Trimbal for the Blake-produced "Confidence Boost" and "Saying."

It's unclear whether the new track will be included on Radio Silence, Blake's much-anticipated follow-up to 2013's Overgrown, which he announced last year. Little remains known about the project, including a release date, but both Kanye West and Justin Vernon are supposed to feature on it.

Take a listen to "RPG" below, and check out "Evening Fell Hard For Us," an old Blake rarity that he also played on Wednesday night's show
