Girls Dreams

It's been a minute since we heard from Alma Elste. Way back at the end of 2014 The Paris-raised singer bewitched us with her debut "Heart Melter." Since then she's released "Virtualism" (think My Bloody Valentine gone chillwave fronted by a beautiful 23-year-old) and below is her third ever track "Limitless." It's a song that sounds like one giant, sexy exhalation. Akin to James Blake's plushly downtempo torch tunes, love's turmoil ekes into every bar.

"‘Limitless'" is a track I produced on my own, unlike 'Heart Melter,’ she explains. "The chorus came to me at night, during last summer, in Rome. I was listening to ‘Heroes' by Bowie the day before and suddenly I think my brain completely transformed. I woke up and recorded the chorus on my iPhone so that I wouldn't lose it. It's about the terror of leaving behind the love of a lifetime."

Alma Este plays her debut London show at Servant Jazz Quarters 2.29.

"Limitless" is out 2.5.
