Located in the canton of Nidwalden (near to the border with Obwalden) with a peak of 1,898 metres (6,227 ft) above sea level, Stanserhorn is a popular tourist destination and can be reached from the adjacent town of Stans by a funicular railway and cable car, or via walking routes from Stans or Dallenwil.
