Girls Dreams

Now on its 17th edition, and with the last stint taking place in Tokyo, the annual Red Bull Music Academy has landed in Paris for 2015. This year 61 musicians are set to attend a series of lectures and studio sessions, while Paris plays host to an event programme that spans talks, clubnights, after parties, lectures, and workshops. The programme will feature everyone from Laurent Garnier and Hudson Mohawke to Sunn O))) and Jean Michel Jarre, and is all open to the general, ticket buying public. Now well underway, it all began last Sunday with a deep hip-hop set from Just Blaze (which you can stream here), who is also one of the mentor's at this year's academy.

This weekend the focus will be on Pitchfork Paris festival, which RBMA will be curating all after parties for, bringing Omar S, John Talabot, Rustie, Galcher Lustwerk and other such electronic luminaries in to get shit going. Then proceedings will continue further into November with a farewell party for Modeselektor's 50WEAPONS label, an A/V show from Air's Nicolas Godin and even a lecture from disco legend Cerrone at the Eiffel Tower. That kinda just scratches the surface of how lit Paris is going to be for 4 weeks.

Anyway, if you're lucky enough to have some spare cash this month, you can still get tickets for all of the events and make your plans to dive on that Eurostar. However, if you're perpetually skint then RBMA will be putting heaps and heaps of this content out through their website, and their radio station (embedded below) will be staging a daily live show. Enjoy.
