Artist Katy Davis illustrates Dr Brené Brown’s fascinating talk on the difference between sympathy and empathy and argues that to be truly empathetic you have to be vulnerable by connecting with someone’s pain in yourself.

The audio was from Dr. Brown’s talk at the RSA (The Royal Society for the encouragement of the Arts) in 2013.
