Girls Dreams

From releasing their debut album Are You Satisfied? - which entered the Top 10 within its first week on the UK Album chart - to performing on stage with Skepta at Radio 1's Big Weekend, Slaves have had a busy year. But in true "sleep when you're dead" style, they're back on it with a new video for "Sockets", which we're exclusively premiering below.

"Sockets" is a high octane love song that tells the story of a young man rendered helpless at the sight of a beautiful woman, and the woman herself bored to death by salivating male attention. STORY OF MY LIFE TBH. Anyway, the video features a dude glued to his armchair in front of a TV set, sweating profusely through his 9-5 attire, and pranging out as someone runs around his house trying to plug appliances into things they shouldn't be plugged into - for example, his eyes.

The track is exactly the kind of three minute shock to the system you would get from sticking your finger in a toaster, or staring slack-jawed at a woman just trying to go about her life until she gives you a hard and well deserved smack. Is this the alternative Saturday night anthem we've all been waiting for?
