Girls Dreams

Ever since we stumbled upon North London artist Fredwave and his track "Change", we've been thirsting for more new music from him. Why? Well, "Change", and the couple of other tracks Fredwave has out on his Soundcloud exemplify every quality we look for in a new artist: they sound unlike other songs we've heard, and they touched our heart so much that if they were on a real life record and able to be re-spun again and again, we would've worn them out by now. So today we're glad to present Fredwave's newest track (and video), "Kno Betta".

Treading out from the dark atmospherics that Fredwave's other tracks have been constructed from, "Kno Betta" is a menagerie of nocturnal fears, future aspirations, the push and pull of the unexpected, the fabric of what it feels like to grow up as a young person in London. As Fredwave says in the short bio he sent over, he "dropped out of college and has been sacked from every job he has ever had", yet it's clear these experiences have found their respite in the sound we're hearing today. Watch the video, which is directed by Marco Grey and features a twist-and-turn of events by the end, below. Then feel confident you've just seen something from one of 2016's most promising new talents you haven't yet heard.
