Don't believe the "Blank Space" truthers: "Out of the Woods" has always been one of the best 1989 songs, and it's always been a puzzle why it wasn't given a stronger push as a single. Maybe that's because Taylor was waiting until we had something else to put behind us—like, say, the year 2015. Actually, if you were Taylor Swift, 2015 was probably pretty dope. But, hey, onto the next one; 2016 is here! And as a Happy New Year from Taylor Swift, here, at long last is the video for "Out of the Woods," premiered on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, the beloved annual special now hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
